Santana Wagon and B2 were first produced in 1981 as a three-box sedan. The best released was in China. In 1986 about 10 000 are created in China. It was with 1.6liters petrol engine, later on, updated to 1.8 liters with four-speed manual transmission. It was used a lot as a taxicab. It was with electronic fuel injection system, hydraulic clutch, abs brakes, mp3, and CDs. Later on, is added 5-speed manual. They have been in production since 1983 in China. In Europe, they were produced from 1984 to 1988. In Japan, they were produced from 1984 to 1989. In Brazil, they were produced from 1984 to 2006. In the Philippines, they have been in production since 2018. It was also known as Quantum, Vista, Corsar, and Carat. In 1985 the Santana name was changed to Passat in the Spanish market.
