914 is a car manufactured and design both from VW and Porsche from 1969 to 1976.
It is with a removable roof designed both with 4 and six flat engines, 5-speed manual gearbox, rear wheel drive under different prototypes such as 914/4, 914/6, 914/1.8 and 914/2.0.
Being designed by Ferdinand Piech to prove his idea to the world, 914/8 is with 350hp flat-eight engine for racing. It was not meant for regular usage. 914/6 failed on the market mostly because of its high price, while 914/4 became the top-selling model of Porsche at the time, with 118,000 cars sold around the world.
914/6 was with a 2L flat-six engine from the 911T model. The ignition was on the left side.
Because of difficulties to be sold 914/6 is reduced to 3351 vehicles produced in 1972.
