It was produced between 1961 and 1965 as a four doors version. Between 1962 and 1967 it was created as two doors version. It was with the name 300SE, with 3 liters M189, fuel injected with six cylinders engine, automatic transmission, leather design, and air suspension. It was with bigger wheels and almost two times the price of W111. It was with 160hp and was upgraded to 190 after 1964. An extended version was also introduced in 1963 and became the most luxury and most expensive 300 at that time. Approximately 5200 SE sedans and 1500 SE long were manufactured.
