G-Wagen 460 and 461 were also sold as Puch G in some markets. They are available as a 5-door station wagon, 3 doors LWB and SWB van, two-door convertible SWB and solely 3 doors SWB. It was also used as a cab and army ambulance. It entered the US market later on and a higher price because of the regulations. They were with a front engine and four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. 4 and 5-speed manual transmission and 4-speed automatic transmission were available.
G-Wagen 461 it was used as a military vehicle and government service organizations.
G-Class 461 was updated with anti-lock brakes, 4WD, electric locking differentials, wooden and leather interior and more powerful V8 engine in 500 GE.
500 GE it was the first model with a V8 engine. It had four-speed automatic transmission and two locking differentials.
