Audi 100 C4 was introduced in 1990 in Europe, and in 1991 in the other markets. It has 2.8 liters SOHC 12v, V6 engine, the same as the one offered in B4 Audi 80, which was introduced in 1992. Quattro option was available with four-wheel drive, ZF-four speed automatic transmission and 2.5 liters 5 cylinder TDi engine. Audi 100 C4 was in production from 1990 to 1994. In 1995 the model was renamed to A6. The Audi S4 was also renamed to S6, but it was later reused for the Audi A4. The renamed in 1995 A6 was in production till 1997 when was replaced by a new A6.
